Victoria University students at NSBM gets a warm welcome

The welcome ceremony for Victoria University students at National School of Business Management (NSBM), happened on Thursday, 30th November 2017, at the NSBM Green University Town premises with the participation of Mr. Tim Huggins, Deputy High Commissioner, Australian High Commission, Sri Lanka, as the chief guest, and with many other distinguished guests such as Ms. Annie Santhana, Regional Director, State Government of Victoria, Mr. Steve Berridge, Vice-President Engagement, Marketing & International, VU, Mr. Rhys Williams, TNE Director, VU, and Ms. Rashima Ghai, TNE Program Manager, VU. Professor Peter Dawkins, President and Vice-Chancellor, VU, Professor Colin Clark, Dean, College of Business, Professor Farzad Khosrowshahi, Dean, College of Engineering & Science, and Dr. Ranjith Ihalanayake, Head of Discipline Finance & Financial Services & Applied Economics & Statistics, College of Business joined via Video Conference, live from VU Melbourne.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Tim Huggins mentioned the improving relations between Australia and Sri Lanka, and congratulated NSBM for having a hand in this, as an educational partner for a top ranked university such as Victoria University. Mr. Steve Berridge said he is quite amazed with the world class facilities available at NSBM, and said he is very happy that they are partnering with NSBM.

Acting Chairperson of NSBM Green University Town Mrs. Ruwanthi Gunathilake, Vice Chancellor Dr. E. A. Weerasinghe, Deputy Vice Chancellor Mr. Chaminda Rathnayake, Dean, School of Business Ms. Thilini De Silva, Dean, School of Computing Mr. Chaminda Wijesinghe, Head of Student Affairs Mr. Baratha Dodankotuwa, and Academic & Non-academic staff at NSBM Green University Town were also present at the event. All the students who are following business and IT degrees at NSBM with Victoria University were present for this grand welcome ceremony. They acquired an opportunity to ask any question they want from the VU staff that were present at the ceremony.
