NSBM Green Rugby 7’s: the first ever Inter-School Rugby Tournament for the under 21 category, will be held on 8 September 2018, at the Race Course International Rugby Stadium Colombo 7. There will be 16 top school teams will compete at the Inaugural Green 7s tournament. In line with the national agenda of providing our youth with the necessary skills for empowerment, and rightly so, as NSBM is under the ambit of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Research, Skills development and Vocational Training & Kandy Heritage, giving the institution an added motivation to work towards this goal.
NSBM encourages the nurturing of dynamic individuals, with the ability to proactively handle academia and extracurricular activities with finesse. Among the various sports available at the campus, Rugby plays a pivotal role, being a popular sport and an absolute favorite among the people of our nation, it has naturally seeped into the hearts and minds of NSBM’s students and staff, which led to the birth of this glorious event - NSBM Green Rugby 7’s: Inter-school Under- 21 Tournament.
