The International Wine Training Workshop conducted by Mr. Joseph Kenny at NSBM Green University to its undergraduates


They say, No wines – No Hospitality. Meaning that wines have been part and parcel of hospitality from time immemorial. When the Portuguese arrived in Sri Lanka in 1505, People said the visitors drink ‘blood’. The NSBM tourism and hospitality subject group conducted WSET LEVEL 1 (UK) training and exam on 18th July 2019, The Wine & Spirit Education Trust provides globally recognized education and qualifications in wines, spirits, and sake, for professionals and enthusiasts.
The international wine training was conducted with Mr. Joseph Kenny who has an impressive background in the industry with over 45 years of experience in both foreign and local wines, spirits, beer, Mixology and non-alcoholic beverages. This was initiated by tourism lecturer Mr. Lasitha De Silva as advised by Thilini De Silva (Dean of School Business) and Mr. Chiranjeewa Atapattu (Head of Marketing).
